Mitsubishi Estate Group Sustainability Vision 2050

bUILDING A SUSTAINABLE ECOSYSTEM

Mitsubishi Estate has established Mitsubishi Estate Group Sustainability Vision 2050 to grow with society and create a sustainable future. Mitsubishi Estate aspires to be a corporate group (=engineers) that provides spaces and infrastructure (=ecosystems) where all actors (individuals, corporations, and more) can coexist sustainably and thrive together—economically, environmentally, and socially.

Mindful of this, Mitsubishi Estate develops its business sectors uniformly based on Sustainability Activities and ESG (Environment—Social—Governance) criteria. With the Logicross warehouse series, Mitsubishi Estate promotes the development of valuable logistics facilities for the realization of a sustainable and prosperous society.

Design Concept

Inspired by Nature, Built for Efficiency

MEC Design International Co., Ltd., a member of the Mitsubishi Estate, provides the design concept for the Logicross.

Utilizing a biophilic design approach to enhance the connection with nature, Logicross creates spaces based on sustainable concepts and adheres to ESG standards. We incorporate nature-inspired elements such as greenery and natural light into our spaces, transforming traditionally sterile logistics facilities into vibrant, life-enhancing environments.

By fostering a connection with nature, we aim to improve mental health, reduce stress, and enhance overall productivity. This approach not only revitalizes the physical space but also boosts worker motivation, leading to a more engaged and satisfied workforce.

Our warehouses are built based on strict standards of green certifications. Notably, Logicorss Nam Thuan is applying for LEED certification, while Logicross Hai Phong is anticipated to receive EDGE certification upon project completion.

Effects of biophilic design

Biophilic design incorporates nature-inspired elements such as plants, sunlight, and water, based on the idea that humans have an inherent desire to connect with nature.

According to research by Human Space conducted in 16 countries with 7,600 individuals, green workspaces promote positive emotions: feelings of happiness, creativity, and productivity in the workforce.

At Logicross, we value each individual’s health and work experience. People working in environments rich in these nature-inspired elements perform better in the following areas compared to those who do not.

LEED CERTIFICATE

To be obtained

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely recognized green building rating system, applicable to virtually all building types. It offers a comprehensive framework for creating healthy, efficient, and cost-effective green buildings.

By integrating nature-inspired elements and sustainable features, we aim to lower tenant costs, reduce environmental impact, and enhance worker well-being. Logicross Nam Thuan is applying for LEED certification, underscoring our commitment to sustainability. Achieving this certification requires strict adherence to criteria concerning energy efficiency, environmental protection, and enhancing occupant health.

EDGE CERTIFICATE

To be obtained

EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) enables developers and builders to quickly identify the most cost-effective strategies to reduce energy use, water use, and embodied carbon in materials. These strategies are rigorously verified by an EDGE Auditor and certified by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), ensuring that projects meet high standards of sustainability.

Logicross Hai Phong is crafted to align with EDGE Certification standards, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. By incorporating advanced design and construction practices, we create state-of-the-art logistics facilities that not only enhance efficiency but also offer exceptional work environments for employees and tenants.
